Kent Twitchell Mural of Nelson Mandela Unveiled in Los Angeles


Los Angeles City Council members declared July 18th as Nelson Mandela Day to honor the late South African president and human rights activist. During a ceremony at the Los Angeles Berlin Wall Monument, Councilman Tom LaBonge unveiled a portrait of Mandela painted by Los Angeles muralist and alumnus Kent Twitchell (’77 MFA Painting).
