YouTube Pedagogy

Helping students learn how to evaluate information is difficult. The Teaching Learning Center is experimenting with creating YouTube videos to help teach skills for freshmen in particular. Our most recent one features our own art history professor, Parme Giuntini, discussing some of the criteria useful in determining whether the information found in periodicals is scholarly, popular, or professional.

This method of teaching Info Lit skills holds promise. YouTube has become extraordinarily poplular over the last year or so. How do you think students respond to these sorts of things?
