Printing Web Pages

I am always on the lookout for easy ways to print web pages.

Print What You Like – Free, ad-based service

Choose which items you want to print from a web page. This is especially helpful when trying to print comments on blog posts as well as on O-Space e-portfolios.

To use, go to the website and paste in the URL of the page you want to print. OR add a bookmarklet to your browser.

PrintFriendly – free service

Like Print What You Like, you can choose which items to print from a page. In fact, you can print, email or save as a PDF – it is trying to be an environmentally friendly service by saving paper. However, it doesn’t always render pages completely.

To use, go to the website and paste in the URL of the page you want to print. OR add a bookmarklet to your browser.

Screen Capture Elite – Firefox browser plugin

I’ve written about this before. My favorite way to print an entire web page, not just the section that appears on screen. Alas, it is only compatible up to Firefox version 5.

For screenshots, you can use Grab on Macs and the Snipping Tool on Windows 7 PCs.
