Nancy Garín (Chile, 1972) is an independent researcher and member of Equipo re. Graduate in Journalism and Social Communication and Aesthetics and Art History, she completed the MACBA Independent Studies Programme (PEI). Previously, she belonged to the Etcétera artistic collective and to the Internacional Errorista, participating in the Istanbul Biennial (2009); the Taipei Biennial (2008), PUBLICTRANSITarPÚBLICos, USA/Mexico (2007); ExArgentina (2006); Labour Leak Steps to Make, (2004); Kollektive Kreativität, Fridericianum Museum, Kassel (2005). As a cultural journalist, she has been a contributor to La Nación de Chile, Pagina 12, Junge Welt, Hemisférica de la Performance, LatinArt and L’Internationale, among others. Currently she is involved with the research group “Península. Procesos coloniales y prácticas artísticas y curatoriales”, Equipo re, and several other independent research initiatives and artistic and cultural production.
