What have some of our great ACT alumni been up to? Here’s some updates (in no particular order)…

Tianna Sellmeyer (’10) was just hired as an instructor at First Steps for Kids. David Roy (’13) was recently hired as a Photo Technician and Dennis Delgado (’13) was hired as the Social Media Specialist, both at Otis. Jeannie Lou Estonactoc (’12) is enrolled in the Art Single Subject Credential Program at Cal State Long Beach. Jessi Bhattia Kim-Saad (’09) was recently hired to teach Digital Photography in the Capistrano Unified School District, after completing her credential at Chapman University. Lyndsay Sullivan (’10) earned her MA in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University, Raul Baltazar (’09) earned his MFA in Public Practice from Otis, and Kaitlynn Redell earned her MFA in Fine Arts from ParsonsCarly Strauss (’09) has been painting and substitute teaching in the Centinela Valley Union High School District. Albert Valdez (’10) is a painter and the Education Coordinator at LACMA, where fellow alumni Aida Lugo (’13), Jose Guadalupe Sanchez III (’13) and Banty Castellanos (’13) also work. Diana Felix is a 1:1 Aid at Collins Elementary School in Long Beach. Giovanni Rubio (’11) teaches at the Sun Valley Youth Art Center, Gabriel Uriarte Garcia (’12) teaches at Kids for Peace, and Marissa Magdalena Sykes (’08) teaches at the Getty Museum and artworxLA while making wearable sculptures to be performed in. Adriana Collazo (’11) started the EcoFab program at After School All Stars Los Angeles, where Maricela Aviña (’11) also works as a Program Leader. Alfredo Guzman (’07) has been teaching art at his alma mater in the Holtville Unified School District and Kendra Elstad (’08) has been teaching 3rd grade at the Wildwood Elementary School.
