Nanette Lepore Takes Swimwear to the Colorful Streets of Cuba

Nanette Lepore, one of twelve fashion elites mentoring at Otis this year, offers a strong and sexy style tailored with impeccable craftsmanship. This collection is inspired by the newly opened borders of Cuba. Under the direction of Megan Riddle, the students are designing swimwear with mixed prints and colors to show the vitality of the streets of Cuba.

Nicholas Dolcini, a junior in the Fashion Design program, describes what it is like working with a professional designer. “The best part is that they give you a lot of feedback, they have their own vision that they want you to follow but they also give you room to create. I really enjoyed being able to take her idea but then make it my own.”
