Jessica Ngo’s poem “Bullying Arts Education” was published in the second annual Op-Ed poetry in the Los Angeles Times on Sunday, August 31, 2014. This striking poem discusses how, when there are budget cuts, the first thing to be cut is always the art programs and how this negatively affects society. Jessica’s poem was selected out of nearly one thousand submissions that were judged according to their newsworthiness, clarity of argument, brevity and humor.
