Request a Video

The video collection supports the teaching curriculum of the Otis College of Art and Design.

Any member of the Otis community may request a video. However, preference is given to items requested by faculty for use in their classes. Items that cost more than $300 may require departmental approval. If you do not list your name and email address in your request, we will not contact you about its availability.

Please check the library catalog for the item before submitting a request. We may already have the item you want. You can also check the New Video List to find out what videos have been recently added to our collection.

There are several ways to request a video:

1. Fill out the Video Request Form [PDF] and submit it to the VRC.

2. Fill out the Request a Book/Video web form; be sure to click the button “Email Visual Resources Librarian.”

3. Faculty may also request a video by including it in a class screening/video reserves list.

During regular semester hours, we will email you within 7 days on whether or not the video will be added to our collection. Once acquired, we will put the video on hold for you for one week before the item is put into general circulation. If several people have requested the same item, the names will be added to a hold list.
